PR support

Polished words. Purposeful content. Practical results.

Whether it’s crafting case studies, writing newsletters, ghostwriting thought leadership pieces, or helping you share your voice online, I create content that’s meaningful, engaging and aligned with your strategy.

PR support is about more than just words — it’s about capturing your values and building trust with your audience.

What is PR support?

While closely connected, media relations and public relations — PR — serve different purposes. Media relations is a specific function within PR focused solely on building relationships with journalists and securing coverage. PR support, on the other hand, goes much wider and covers a broad range of communications channels aimed at shaping positive public opinion and building stakeholder relationships.

Case studies

In public relations, case studies are concise, but also in-depth, analyses of specific situations which focus on a customer’s real-world experience of how an organisation addressed a challenge. They provide a detailed and subjective account of a particular example, which can be used  to demonstrate the impact of a product, service, or strategy.

They are: Detailed accounts of a specific event, situation, or problem involving a customer or client.

Purpose: To illustrate how a company, product or service addressed a specific challenge, showcasing the effectiveness of a strategy or approach and the results achieved.

Content:

  • The challenge the client faced
  • The approach or solution used
  • The results achieved
  • Client quotes or supporting data
  • Eye-catching visuals

Benefits:

  • Great for media-ready storytelling

  • Builds trust and credibility

  • Shows clear, proven results

  • Reinforces strategic expertise

  • Can be repurposed across channels

Newsletters

A regular newsletter can be a powerful tool for connecting organisations with their target audiences, and fostering and building engagement. Any kind of enterprise — big or small, commercial or otherwise — can benefit from harnessing newsletters.

They are: Regular emails sent directly to a target audience. They offer curated updates, insights, or content and create an ongoing dialogue with subscribers.

Purpose: To build and maintain engagement with an organisation’s audience, strengthen relationships, and increase visibility over time.

Content:

  • Updates about your business or services

  • Educational content or insights

  • Personal stories or opinions

  • Curated news or useful resources

  • Calls to action or exclusive offers

Benefits:

  • Builds brand loyalty and trust

  • Expands and nurtures your audience

  • Offers measurable engagement

  • Strengthens visibility and credibility

  • Encourages feedback and interaction

Ghostwriting

This is the label used when a journalist or other experienced writer creates content under someone else’s name. It’s a powerful PR tool that can help establish an organisation as a thought leader, especially within a media relations strategy.

What it is: Articles, blogs, thought leadership pieces and other types of focused writing created by a professional on behalf of whoever is named as the author.

Purpose: To articulate ideas clearly and professionally, especially when time, confidence, or writing skills are limited and often used to establish industry or sector authority.

Content:

  • Articles and opinion pieces

  • Blog posts

  • Website content or bios

  • Speeches

  • Presentation scripts

  • Email campaigns

Benefits:

  • Saves time for business owners and leaders

  • Ensures clear, engaging, high-quality copy

  • Maintains a consistent tone of voice

  • Elevates reputation with quality content

  • Builds visibility and credibility in media or sector spaces

Blogs

These are digital platforms for sharing information to engage with audiences and build relationships. They are a cost-effective way to publish content, demonstrate expertise, and establish thought leadership. They can also help with SEO, brand awareness and lead generation.

They are: Regular, web-based content posts that allow enterprises to share insights, updates, and expertise with a wider audience.

Purpose: To inform, educate, and connect with potential clients or partners, while building brand identity and improving search engine performance.

Content:

  • Informational or educational articles

  • Industry insights or trends

  • Behind-the-scenes exclusives

  • Personal stories or positioning pieces

  • Answers to frequently asked questions

Benefits:

  • Improves SEO and increases organic traffic

  • Helps with positioning as a thought leader

  • Builds trust and long-term audience relationships

  • Encourages engagement and shares

  • Drives leads and conversions
